At Tended & Treasured Pups, our mission has always been about more than raising beautiful, healthy dachshunds — it’s about tending to hearts and treasuring the lives God places in our care.

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted our business to reflect the biblical principle of First Fruits: offering the very first and best back to God in gratitude and trust.

In Scripture, first fruits were the first and choicest portions of a harvest, joyfully returned to the Lord as an act of worship (Proverbs 3:9, Leviticus 23:10). It was a way of saying:

“Everything I have comes from You, Lord, and I honor You by giving back first.”

For us, that means donating the first fruits of every litter to a charitable cause that helps both humans and animals feel truly tended and treasured — just as God intended. Whether through organizations that rescue and restore, shelters that offer comfort and healing, or ministries that provide hope, your decision to bring home one of our puppies also helps bring care, dignity, and love to others in need.
